Monday: Students will take a reading check over chapters 1-2 over Lord of the Flies. We will then look at some key passages from these chapters and discuss questions and observations.
Tuesday: Students will read chapters 3-4 of Lord of the Flies and search for meaningful or significant passages. They will record these on the chapters 3-4 scavenger hunt handout they received on Monday.
Wednesday: Students will take a reading check over chapters 3-4 and then get into groups to share the passages they selected for the chapters. Each group will choose what they believe is the most important or critical passage and explain why.
Thursday: Students will have time to read chapters 5-6 of the novel. They will need to prepare for an assessment over the first 6 chapters they will take on Tuesday. This assessment will include the 7 literary terms on the Lord of Flies Build Background Slideshow.
Friday: NO SCHOOL
